Two children flee Honduras trying to reach their mother in America. They must travel through Mexico on the “Death Train,” La Bestia, encountering unimaginable hardship. The story is based on news articles about real immigrants’ journeys from South American countries where poverty and danger to their lives froces them to flee to the promised land. Will they make it to their mother and what dangers will they encounter on the way?
